Planned Maintenance Works at..

Tema Region - Tuesday 17th July 2018

The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited wishes to inform its valued customers and the general public that there will be an interruption in power supply on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 8:30am to 5:00pm. 
This is to enable ECG carry out planned maintenance works to reinforce the network .
Areas to be affected are :
Devtraco Estates, PS Global, Royal Palms, Patrick Estates, Parts of Dawhenya, Peace B area, Magna Terris, Community 25 junction and its environs.
ECG regrets the inconvenience that will arise out of this exercise.

Central Region - Thursday 19th July 2018 2018

The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited, wishes to inform its valued customers and the general public that, there will be an interruption in power supply on Thursday, 19th July, 2018 from 8:00am to 4:00pm
This is to enable ECG carry out maintenance works to reinforce its network.
Areas to be affected are: 
Anomabo, Biriwa, Saltpond, Kormantse, Mankessim, Dominase, Esuahyia, Ekumfi Township, Parts of Ajumako, Gomoa Brofo  and its environs.

Greater Accra - Sunday 22nd July 2018

The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited wishes to inform its valued customers and the general public that, there will be an interruption in power supply on Sunday  22nd July, 2018 from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
This is to enable the  ECG carry out maintenance works at the Mallam Bulk Supply Point (BSP).
Areas to be affected are: Weija Water Works, Kokrobite, Tokuse, Bortianor, Oshie, Aplaku, Tuba, Dunkona, Tetegu, Weija Village, Menskrom, McCarthy Hill, Sukura Market, Zabrama, Zodiac, Dansoman, Kwashieman, Sowutuom, Nii Boye Town, Fadama, Darkuman, Ablekuma, Mamprobi, Lartebiokorshie, Korle Gonnor, Mataheko, Abossey Okai, Chorkor, Kaneshie, Nsawam Township and its Surrounding Towns and Villages, Amasaman, Medie, Parts of Tantra Hill, Asofa, Ofankor, Parts of Kwabenya, Kuntunse, Mampong Township, Aburi, Pokuase and its Environs.

Volta Region - Wednesday 25th July 2018

The Electricity company of Ghana limited, wishes to inform it's valued customers and the general public that, there will be an interruption in power supply on Wednesday, 25th July, 2018 from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
This is to enable the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) carry out maintenance works on the Asiekpe-Ho network.
Areas to be affected are: Ho, Kpeve, Kpando, Hohoe, Jasikan, Dambai and Nkwanta Municipalities, and their environs. 
ECG regrets the inconvenience that will arise out of this exercise.

About the Power Sector in Ghana

There are seven public institutions involved in the power sector. These are the Ministry of Power (MOP), Energy Commission (EC), Public Utility Regulatory Commission (PURC), Volta River Authority (VRA), Ghana Grid Company (GridCo), Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (ECG) and the Northern Electricity Department Company(NEDCo), a subsidiary of the VRA.Energy Foundation is a private-public sector partnership to promote energy efficiency and conservation countrywide. Independent Power Producers(IPPs) are also private sector players in the power sector.
