The Volta Regional General Manger, Ing. Joseph Forson has paid a Six-day working visit to Five (5) out of the eleven districts in the region. The visit was to enable him interact and familiarize with staff and customers in those Districts.
The unannounced visits form part of the GM’s plan to visit each District in the Region on a working visit, at least twice this year.
Speaking to staff during durbars held in each district, Ing. Forson encouraged staff to look beyond any challenges and improve their work attitudes, to renew customer confidence in the abilities of the current workforce.
“The ongoing review of the concession arrangement by government gives us a breath of fresh air to prove that we can be better managers of this Company” he said. Ing Forson added that “our renewed vigour towards work, and service to customers will gain us the needed public support, should the government still be adamant and continue with the concession arrangements”.
Staff expressed their gratitude to the General Manager for the visit and requested him to regularize such encounters. They bemoaned how, in the past, only colleague staff in the Regional office and the Ho District regularly encountered Management members, while those in other districts hardly had regular encounters.
Ing. Forson also held informal discussions with customers to gauge their impressions of the Company’s operations in their respective Districts.
Districts visited by the General Manager on this working visit included Kpando, Hohoe, Jasikan, Dambai and Nkwanta.
